linux internet
I have a question about internet in linux. Im dual booting windows xp/mandrake 9.0 (i want to go linux all the way though).
the problem is, i wont be able to have internet without windows. SO, im going to buy a PCMCIA modem for my laptop. which one should i buy ?(linux compatible).
Now, after i get my modem, how do i set up the hardware in linux ? does mandrake auto detect it on boot ?
after i set up my modem, how do i find an ISP ? I currently use AOL, which, btw IMHO, isnt too good. after i get my ISP, then how do i connect to the internet ?

Check the various linux hardware compatability lists that are floating about first. Do NOT get a Win/SoftModem, they may not work at all.
