Linux in Latin
 

Hi, I'm a student learning Latin, and I love Linux. A lot. I've looked around, but I haven't found a Linux distro in Latin, and I was wondering if anyone here knows of one.

If there are none, I'd like to try to make one myself. It wouldn't be anything special as far as software goes, it would just be in Latin. Do you think this is a good idea, or should I look for another solution?

The languages a Linux distribution is available in all depends on what translations have been done in the core DE (Desktop Environment). If you really want a Linux OS in Latin would suggest you look at the various DEs websites and join their translation efforts.

I didn't think about that... I always thought language was tied to the distribution, and not the desktop. Thanks for your help, I'll do my best to help GNOME with Latin. :)

I heard of a latin programming language used to develop a system, but i don't remember if it was just a mere fantasy.
So, not only the language of the DE in latin but the programming language itself.
