Sorry. I didn't notice you had hijacked his thread I'm curious why that monitor is so bright for you guys, and I used the same one and didn't have those problems.

First off I did not hijack this thread... second some people may think a monitors bright, and other may think it is not.. it all depends...

How in the world can you see your monitor with that lamp on above it?

That pictures alittle old, my new monitor is a Samsung Flat Panel CRT.. and that lamp has never bothered me...

I dont know... for some reason they are bright for some and for some it dosent. Like my brother who use the same monitor as me set the brightness at 100% then MagicBright to Entertainment mood and stand there for like 2 hours using it. But the same monitor under that settings I cant stand for more than 2 minutes.
