linux hardware specs from command line?

Is there a equivalent to winmsd on windows or prtdiag -v on solaris? How can you, once logged into a linux server, find how much physical memory is installed, what processor is installed, etc?

thanks in advance!

If you look at the dir /proc, you can read some info about the system from there. For example, cat /proc/meminfo should give you some info on... the memory. The other 'files' also give info on other aspects, like cpuinfo for the processor, filesystems to show what filesystems are available, mounts to show what is currently mounted where... you get the idea.
