Linux Graphics: Boot in AGP, Start X-Server in PCI

On Board AGP Card: Intel 82845
PCI Graphics Card: ATI Radeon M9000
PC: Pentium 3
Linux Flavour: RedHat 9 Enterprise Linux (2.4)

The system has to boot first through AGP.
The X-Server should start in PCI Graphics card.

Problem Observed:

Though the X-Server starts in the PCI card (X screen appears), neither the mouse nor the keyboard responds to the X-Screen. Also, there is no other display other than "X" on the screen.

Request you to provide me pointers to resolve the same.

Thanks in Advance,

What do you mean with "Also, there is no other display other than "X" on the screen."? You get X without window manager?
You have two monitors, one connected to the AGP graphic card and the other to the PCI graphic card?
Did you have a look at "/var/log/Xorg.#.log"? How many such files to you get, just one called "Xorg.0.log" or you have as well something like "Xorg.1.log"?.
