Linux from USB Flash?

Hi is there any version of Linux that has been specifically designed (read minimum flapping about or fuss) to be installed and run from USB stick?

Thanks.

Yes, quite a few. But they are all of the "live" variety. If you want something to use full time from USB, you will have to do some manual work.

There is compact flash Linux Project. You can download the tarball. unzip and build the image file. Burn the image file on CD. Then all you have to do is boot your PC with USB as first boot priority. Linux will get installed.
Home page is :-

Tar/GZ:
ftp://ftp.cflinux.hu/pub/cflinux/cflinux-1.0p13.tar.gz

I think right noe no GIU is there.

Puppy got an instaler for that. Just load puppy with a cd. Run universal instaler with your stick in the usb port. Done. Try it. Dont forget to change boot order in bios. This workt for me on 3 of 4 computers at home.
