I use slack 10.1 with 2.4.26 kernel. Every thing was running fine but since few days, linux freeze each time I make a long work like doing make. There is no messages, nothing in the log's, keyboard is inusable, I can just press "reset" ont the computer. I do not run X11 or else, I am working directly from stty. The PC works fine (no memory check in BIOS), no error messages anywhere!! My question is: How to start debug. Can I recover while reboot, can I have a memory dump? I can reproduce the bug. Please help

Try to compile the kernel.
Or play a game like enemy territory under linux to check, if this happens in this case too.

Trying compile the Kernel (a long job) leads to the same problem (after about 5 minutes). It seems that the problem appears after installing a flat monitor behind a KVM but it's not sure. Another thing i have noticed is that problem exists even working with ssh from another computer...
