how come that for every distro i use of linux the fonts absolutely suck. When i'm browsing the internet with mozilla or firebird why do my eyes have to hurt so much, same with openoffice what kind of fonts come with the binary version?
I'm trying to do a university project and i'm getting a major headache coding in Eclipse, why can't the people who develop this at least supply ONE decent font for an application?
Now i don't mean any of this, but it shows you how pissed off i am.
I'm using Slackware 9.1 and I have used Redhat 6.2-9.0.
I have to agree. After using Windows all day at work when I fire up my Linux box at home the fonts suck. The browser fonts, the icon fonts, and everything looks about 10 years old. Mozilla and pretty much every other browser I use make the fonts look smaller and just not as pretty.
I use Konqueror and that's about the best I can get my fonts to look.
If you get used to IE, or Firebird in Windows, web stuff looks worse in Linux. I don't know why. It just does.
