Linux Certification

Just curious as to which Linux certifications people prefer or think are worth going after. Seems as though certification is a good idea to impress 'non-technical' individuals.

Private consulting has the potential of letting someone really take advantage of their skills and having a certification makes non-techies more relaxed when deciding whether or not to hire you.

Granted, just getting certified wont make a good Linux admin, but it seems as though it couldn't hurt.

from what i have seen, the Sair is the most recognized behind the RHCE, RedHat Certified Engineer.. which is more distro related, but Sair is Linux specific though..
Though I haven't heard bad things about the LPI either..

That is basically what I thought.
SAIR seems to test ones overall skills instead of being distro specific.

I was thinking about going to one of those boot camps for Linux, and they were telling me that starting in Feburary they will no longer be offering the Sair tests. They will be shifting to LPI. They said that holds more potential than Sair does now, and the Sair is not as accepted because it is not updated very frequently.

I think i would go for the LPI, because I do think it will be better testing in the long run.
