Linux boot hang : "init: error loading shared libraries"
My PC does not boot.
Linux boots until the following:
Partition check
.... . .. <all that jazz>
autorun DONE
VFS - Mounted root (ext2 filesystem) readyonly
Freeing unused kernel memory : 48k freed
init: error in loading shared libraries : libc.so.6 : Invalid ELF header
It does this with linux single and linux emergency.
I believe (please correct me) that the harddisk is okay as autorun finished; and the problem is something to do with init??
What can i do now? What can i do with init?
If you can provide any help (or pointers to a starting place), i'd appreciate it.
Thank you in advance,
Colin.
