Linux, A Disruptive Technology

Friends,

I hope I don't get too beat up for posting this here. I think it is appropriate here, as it is general and it is intended to promote Linux...

I work for a global company that is considered a leader in its particular industry. Our IT systems are primarily Windows based.

I was recently approached by a colleague who informed me he would be presenting at the next company communications meeting. He asked upper management if he could address the organization with a presentation he will call "Linux, A Disruptive Technology." What is meant by this is that Linux has the potential to "disrupt" the windows-entrenched corporate America/world. He asked if I would be interested in assisting in this presentation by beginning to collect some clippings of articles or links having to do with the breakthoughs that Linux is making where the old monopoly is being challenged.

I am very excited about this and I would welcome any input toward this end from anyone here. Any ideas, specific articles, thoughts?

Kind regards,
Thomas

FWIW, the following are links to articles re: Linux that I thought were relevant at the time that I bookmarked them. Most of them are articles highlighting positive aspects of linux or dealing with linux's success here and there, or why people are adopting it. Some may be outdated info, but here it is:

One of my favourites was this ling (from slashdot) about how the city of Largo, FL uses Linux to save money.
