Linux 2.6 for the desktop
Hello everyone,
I was wondering with all the news of the next Linux kernel 2.6 supporting all the great enterprise features such as multi-processor support, large memory, and other things, what's in it for the desktop user? Enterprise features are great for companies using Linux but what about home users?
Anyways, the reason I'm asking this is because I want to switch to Linux after using Knoppix and wondering whether I should wait for Linux 2.6 in June or whether I should use Red Hat 8.1 when it becomes available next month or so.
Thanks.
