This may be something to ask when one gets bored...

Why do almost all distributions of Linux use a Trash instead of a Recycle Bin?

Isn't it psychologically more effective to have people have recycling come first into mind when trying to get rid of unnecessary belongings?

So the old adage goes... there is no away.

1) "Recycle Bin" is probably trademarked or copyrighted by Microsoft.

2) Recycling means that the "thing" being recycled will be either reused or re-manufactured into something else. When you place a file into the Garbage Bin, it is to be discarded, not reused.

Why would Linux copy Windows when it can copy Macintosh? Since the first versions of the Macintosh Finder, there's a trash can.

Psychologically, I don't understand why I'd like to recycle my old files... If disposing something doesn't ruin the environment, I'm all for it ;)

I wonder if next time they'll use Garbage instead of Trash. then sometimes Rubbish. :)
