Lindows, AOL, Wal-mart, Microtel, Oh my!
Haven't heard anything on this site about this yet.....
http://www.msnbc.com/news/813350.asp?cp1=1#BODY
the short version of it is that AOL is backing Lindows, at least the ones installed in the new Microtel Walmart PC's. Just curious as to what everybody thinks. I read the flaming of Lindows, M$, and AOL many times on this site, so whats worse M$ windows or AOL Lindows? Is it a good thing if it finally gets rid of the M$ monopoly?
Does seem funny coming from MSNBC which Microsoft owns part of.......

The only thing AOL ever did was tell Lindows they can license Netscape or something like that. But then Lindows came out and claimed they were partners, then the media saw this and called it the AOL Lindows Operating System. Which AOL then said.. ummm.. NO, we didn't become partners, we just did what we've done a hundred times before with many other companies..
So that sums that up, I don't think it was mentioned on this site cause quite frankly, no one really cared enough to mention it..
