My current partition table is:

/dev/hda1 = 1.99gb FAT16 Partition

/dev/hda2 = 500mb ext3 /boot

/dev/hda3 = 8gb ext3 /

/dev/hda4 = Linux Swap

/dev/hdb1 = Windows XP - 80gb


Now, here's the kicker - /hdb1 is on a Promise Ultra 100 controller - which shouldn't really affect anything because the actual XP bootloader is on /dev/hda1.

My question is simply - if everything boots off of /dev/hda1 should my lilo.conf just need the line(s):

other=/dev/hda1
table=/dev/hda1
label=winxp

I shouldn't be pointing lilo twards /dev/hdb1 because it doesn't actually boot from there -- right? :-)

Leave it like that, lilo needs to know where Xp boots from. Don't forget that lilo loads before XP.
