lilo flags

Ok, I'm guaranteed to get flamed for this but I did look for this on the site and also manned lilo (and lilo.conf).

I just got some new hardware, and cuz I have some Windoze-specific software I want to dual boot. I've read up on it, don't use the linear flag, whatever... I'm pretty much there (they both boot now but I need my boot disk to get into Slack 9.1). I just wanted to know if someone who has done this before (Windoze is XP Pro) could post their lilo.conf? Also to install lilo on the boot partition, assuming it's hda3, would I use:

lilo -v -b /dev/hda3

?

Thanks much for any feedback

Naw, if you want to get flamed you'll have to try harder.

" I'm pretty much there (they both boot now but I need my boot disk to get into Slack 9.1). I just wanted to know if someone who has done this before (Windoze is XP Pro) could post their lilo.conf? Also to install lilo on the boot partition, assuming it's hda3, would I use:"

I know very little about Windows XP but I think that you can dual boot by placing lilo on the MBR and setting up /etc/lilo.conf correctly.

" I did look for this on the site and also manned lilo (and lilo.conf)."

Here is some lilo documentation that is much better than the man pages:

German, if you are using Slack 9 likes it says you are, there should be a nice "lilo.conf.example" for you to check out. Also, Slackware's Site has a real nice html book on their that goes over pretty much everything.

Thanks for the responses guys, I'll bite the bullet and try this out when I get a chance this evening.
