lilo.conf & fstab

I recently installed bsd on hdb with (linux on hda). lilo lives in mbr. could someone please tell me how to point lilo.conf to bsd? also fstab dislikes the bsd style partitioning. in order to boot linux i had to single user and vi the /bsd /dev/hdb out with 0 0 because linux would not mount that bsd fs. also perhaps there is a way to note /bsd in fstab so that at least it comes up with df -k.
sorry for the 2 part question.
thanks
