Lightweight Linux Distro & WM (Acer TravelMate 3200)
Hey All,
I have an old laptop to setup for my gf. I would love to install a lightweight Linux distro. I have included the laptop specs below.

Acer TravelMate 3200

HD - 60GB
RAM - 512MB
CPU - Pentium M 1.7GHz
GPU - Mobility Radeon 9700 (64MB)
HD - 60GB

I need an a distro for email, surfing the web (youtube, facebook)and im.

I have been looking at the following Linux distributions:
* Fedora
* Mandriva
* Pubby Linux

I am open to suggestion for other distro's. I really want to be able to use the hardware acceleration on the Mobility Radeon 9700.

I would also love some feedback on some lightweight window managers to really speed things up.

I am looking forward to your responses :)

I've never used puppy, but understand that it is pretty lightweight. You might also look into slackware and arch for lightweight distros. Fedora is ok, but a little heavy. Should run fine on your equipment though

I've used Mepis with LXDE. Very light, very stable and very easy.
