lib file?

I'm playing around with Linux From Scratch, from Slackware. Well, Slackware doesn't include a few lib files (libcurses.a, libncurses.a) that LFS needs. Should I try another distro to install LFS from, or where can I get these lib files for Slackware?

Slackware has those lib's. And If they're not installed you should be able to install them with no problems. No need to install a whole other distro around such a simple task..

I found it. I think I was doing too many different things at once and missed the symlinking part of the LFS instructions. I really need to think before I post... thanks for the help!
