Latest Kernel for RH9 and RHEL4 WS?

Dear Members,

I want to know about latest kernel for Red Hat Linux 9 (using- 2.4.20-8) and Rhel4 Ws (using 2.6.9-5.el).

Pl. give new kernel details for above two version. I also went at www.kernel.org but I could not find proper kernel for above two versions.

RH9 is really old so you're not going to find much newer. You could try the rpm find site. You definitely won't have anything newer than 2.4x (no 2.6x for RH9).

RHEL is something you'd need to get the latest kernel using up2date to get it from RedHat. This is a commercial distribution so that's the only way to get the "official" kernel.

Fedora Core is the non-commercial distro that took the place of the earlier RedHat (after RedHat 9). FC is now up to 6 meaning your RH9 is 6 versions out of date. If you don't have a subscription at RH for your RHEL you should think about converting that to FC as well.
