Laptop that seems to have no way to enter BIOS when started

My mothers laptop does not offer any way to enter into BIOS on startup, there is no press F2 thing or whatever it is. It just automatically boots from the hard drive. Is there another way into BIOS, if not how can I change the boot order without being able to get into BIOS?

What type and model of laptop is it?

comprookie2000 04-29-2005 11:42 AM

Make and model number?

capnpayne 04-29-2005 12:32 PM

a lot of older laptops require you to press escape very early in boot.

thirding the make and model number request

What capnpayne said.

Try a cold boot and immediately hit Esc, when POST finishes you should get a prompt to hit F1 to enter BIOS.
