Kubuntu 15.10 Raw Thumbnails

Hi,
Just installed Kubuntu 15.10, and now no Raw thumbnails.
Worked fine in 15.04.
Have installed Ufraw, Digikam, KDE-Thumbnailer, all to no avail.
Is this a bug, or am I missing something.
Any help appreciated, thanks.

ufraw and digikam probably don't come into the equation, but the kde-thumbnailer most probably does.
you have to get into its documentation & configuration:
- do you have to explicitely enable generation of raw thumbnails
- does your camera (i guess you are talking camera raw images) use some special format that maybe isn't recognized

there's one more thing:
many file managers have a setting to generate thumbnails of files smaller than a certain threshold.
maybe you have to raise that threshold? raw files are usually much bigger than jpgs and such.

edit:
hm, i missed the bit where you say "worked fine on 15.04". so, maybe my post isn't relevant.

re: Raw thumbnails

Thanks for prompt reply.
Yes, had no problem with 15.04.
Also, there is no option in Dolphin Preferences to tick to show Raw images.
I'm guessing this is a bug, but not sure, maybe someone can advise.
Thanks.

that is not what i meant.
in my file browser it looks like this:

4096KB is 4MB, that is plenty for a .jpg but not much for a .raw camera image.
savvy?

whether it is a bug or not, your best bet is to check the functionality of the application that is responsible for creating the thumbnails.
on most systems, the file manager delegates that to a dedicated thumbnailer. see my prev. post.

re: thumbnails

Thanks again for your reply.
I set Dolphin Preview to skip files bigger than 15mb, but still no luck.
Also Gwenview only shows black, no image, only Darktable and DigiKam work.
I think I'll go back to 15.04.
Thanks a lot for all your help.
