Kopete, Kwallet, Konqueror, work in ICEwm, but not KDE

The subject pretty much says it all. If I start X with ICEwm, I can use Kopete, Kwallet, and Konquerer, but not if I start (same user, same system, same console) with KDE. Kwallet and Konqueror show "Starting <program>" in the toolbar for while, then it disappears. Kopete starts, but when I try to connect, it locks up for a while, then crashes.

So what can I do to clear this out?

This started when I upgraded my nvidia driver, but I also had to upgrade kernel and various support libraries at the same time.

All help appreciated.

Ok, this was solved by an urpmi update of everything. Something was gaked in dcopserver. Seems to be all better now.
