Konqueror full screen with no menubar can't save profile

So since the "Save View Profile" in Konqueror is accessed through the Menubar, how is one supposed to save a profile that DOESN'T use the menubar? There is no keyboard shortcut for it and with the menubar gone, you can't press it? I have a profile set up called "webbrowsing" that does everything but the menubar and I've tried setting the following in:

/home/user/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/profiles/webbrowsing

[Profile]
FullScreen=true
Name=webbrowsing
RootItem=Tabs0
Tabs0_Children=ViewT0
Tabs0_activeChildIndex=0
ViewT0_LinkedView=false
ViewT0_LockedLocation=false
ViewT0_PassiveMode=false
ViewT0_ServiceName=khtml
ViewT0_ServiceType=text/html
ViewT0_ToggleView=false
ViewT0_URL etc etc etc

But it still opens with the durn menubar!

Thanks much!!!

With konqueror open and having focus try using the Ctrl+M key combo.

You can set up a keyboard shortcut for it.

Again, the option to configure the keyboard shortcuts is in the menu, but you could configure some shortcuts before removing the menus, and then they should still be there when you've done it.

(but on the other hand, what have you got against the menu anyway? -- I always find it kinda useful )

konqueror menu hiding and save in profile

Lenard: Thanks, hiding and un-hiding the menubar isn't the issue. That's not a problem. The problem is saving a profile when the menu is hidden. You can't choose the "save profile" with it hidden.

Spudley: I need to hide it because I'm using Konqueror as a kiosk browser and I can't have folks quitting Konq and playing around with stuff. I've looked through all the keyboard shortcuts and don't see "Save Profile" as a choice. Is there maybe some script I could run or maybe a way to do it command line?

Thanks much!!

I opened Konq, and selected "Configure Shortcuts" from the menu. Then I typed "save" into the search box at the top of the shortcuts form, and it came up with five results, including the Save Profile option (for the currently open profile). Seems to work for me.

(I'm using Konq 3.4)

LOL, you are exactly right. I was digging through KDE's shortcuts not Konqueror's. I guess I wanted to make it harder than it should be. Thanks so much!
