Konqueror fish:// and sftp:// slow or not transfer
I am running Kubuntu Dapper 6.06, using Konqueror 3.5.2. I am trying to transfer (via drag and drop) some files large (about 7 GB) mpeg files from a computer on my network into my own computer. Both computers are running linux and both are running ssh-agents and sshd.
In konqueror, using the sftp://user@192.168.0.100 format, I can get into that comptuer and drag the files over to my current computer. However, the transfer speed is about 2 mb/s. If I transfer the files with scp over the command line, I get around 11 mb/s. I do not know why the transfer speed is so different. I can use samba shares and get around 7 mb/s to transfer these files.
If I try to use the fish://user@192.168.0.100, I cannot transfer any of the large files (smaller seem to be allowed). I also cannot read these, even I am logging in as the owner of these files.
Distro: Ubuntu/Kubuntu 5.10, KDE 3.5.2.
Kernel: 2.6.15-20-686-smp
