Knoppix 5.1.1 -> Desktop Resolutions {how to change}

Hey all,

I put this thread here because it seemed to fit better here than anywhere else.

I have a machine that I'm booting with a Knoppix v.5.1.1 CD. Everything is detected perfectly (as knoppix always does) However, I'm always limited to 1024x768 resolution. I know for a fact that the monitor and VGA are both capable of higher resolutions. (I was running Gentoo on the machine with higher resolutions prior to this Knoppix boot)

I can't seem to find anything in the config menus for changing the resolution other than the standard Desktop Configuration which really only allows for decreasing current resolution, or changing wallpapers and such. (accessed via desktop right click)

Any ideas?
Tnx. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Looking at your post count, I think you'd have tried this already

there is a tray icon in knoppix

its a diagonal double-headed arrow across a rectangle. Right click it and you can see a bunch of resolution settings...But, since right clicking didn't work, then i don't think this will work

just a sugesston
