Question klipper question

When I right click on a file and select copy, then click on klipper, It says:
for e.g. (file:/usr/local/test).
then I go into a directory and right click and hit paste, it copys (/usr/local/test) to that directory,
but

Now when I go into the command line and type:
dcop klipper klipper setClipboardContents "file:/usr/local/test"
and hit enter, then go to klipper it says:
file:/usr/local/test
which is the same as before, but when I go into a directory and select paste, it prompts me with a dialog that says:
"Filename for clipboard content:"

What's wrong here?
Does anyone know why it won't copy the file?
For some reason, klipper is recognizing it as text and not a file, so it must be adding some kind of special format when a file is copied.

any help would greatly be appriciated.
Thanks in advance
Bendeco
