kjournald process consumed all CPU time

I have a system running on Fedora 3, version 2.6.10-1.770_FC3smp. Yesterday, I noticed two kjournald processes were using over 99% of CPU time. I could not kill them even with absolute kill. The server eventually hang and I had to reboot the server.

I could not find any thing in the message log file. Search on Google has not provided any solutions. Does any one knows what caused the problem?

Thanks in advance..

The problem was caused by a bug in the 2.6.10 kernel. Redhat has a patch to fix this and will be in the next update release.
