kickstart wierd problem

Hi I have this weird problem with my kickstart.

I have this command in the %post section

mkdir /mnt/cdrom

after the installation it does create a /mnt/cdrom folder but it has a question mark at the end the folder cdrom.

so the folder is named

cdrom?

Any Idea? Also is it possible to execute a tar command in kickstart and install an application using make and make install?

Thanks for the help.

What did you use to edit the file? What does it look like in "vim" with
the command ":set list"?

the KS.cfg is edited using windows wordpad. Does it matter? What encoding should I use for this?

I'd recommend using Linux tools for Linux jobs. Failing that, use fromdos
(or dos2unix, whichever you find on your install) to convert DOS (WinDOHs)
files to unix (linux) standards ...

I have solved the ? problem. My problem now is I can't copy files from cdrom to harddisk using kickstart post directive. Here is my post script. I am really running out of idea.

%post --nochroot

#!/bin/sh
mkdir /mnt/sysimage/opt/regalpbx
mkdir /mnt/sysimage/installer
mount -t iso9660 /tmp/cdrom /mnt/sysimage/installer
cp -a /mnt/sysimage/installer/NOTES/* /mnt/sysimage/opt/regalpbx
umount /mnt/sysimage/installer
