kicking out users
 
i have one of my buddies always connected to my computer and when i tell him to get off he doesnt....is there a way to kick him off once he is in

I have used the timeout program with Debian to restrict terminal idle times. It can do a lot more. Perhaps you can find a program of this sort if you just want to restrict his login times.
Killing his shell and deleting his account are other possibilities.

I am not sure, but this might help.

Find your friend's shell pid:
Code:

#ps -t ttyX
Kick his ass:
Code:

#echo "Get the hell out of mine machine, slave!" | write [your friends login name] [ttyX]
#kill -9 [pid of your friend shell]

And take away his power to log in for a couple days by giving him a no-login shell.
