kicking out users
i have one of my buddies always connected to my computer and when i tell him to get off he doesnt....is there a way to kick him off once he is in

kill his shell.

I have used the timeout program with Debian to restrict terminal idle times. It can do a lot more. Perhaps you can find a program of this sort if you just want to restrict his login times.
Killing his shell and deleting his account are other possibilities. |
I am not sure, but this might help.
Find your friend's shell pid: Code:
#ps -t ttyX Code:
#echo "Get the hell out of mine machine, slave!" | write [your friends login name] [ttyX] |
And take away his power to log in for a couple days by giving him a no-login shell.
