kernel version


I want to upgrade my RH kernel , can I do it by myself ? if yes , where on the internet can I find the binary kernel file ? thx

You can find kernel updates at http://www.kernel.org

Whether or not you can upgrade it yourself remains to be seen! (Ho! Ho!)

thx reply ,

i tried to kernel.org , but can't find the binary kernel file , it should be kernel-2.4.x.rpm , could suggest where can find it ? thx

Hey ust,

Well if you download a kernel source from kernel.org you will have to compile and install it yourself. If your looking for a precompiled kernel either check out rpmfind.net or just use YUM.
