kernel: tty_io.c message

I got this error in my /var/log/message file

Jun 17 12:50:11 spp-oid4 kernel: tty_io.c: process 952 (sh) used obsolete /dev/cua - update software to use /dev/ttyS59
Jun 17 12:50:11 spp-oid4 kernel: tty_io.c: process 953 (sh) used obsolete /dev/cua - update software to use /dev/ttyS59

what does this mean?
