kernel patching problem

hi

i successfully installed the 2.4.9-34 kernel on my RH7.1 pc today(using an rpm). It works perfectly, but i need the source to build FreeSwan. I downloaded a source rpm for it, but its just full of patch files. What do i do with them?

i have the source for my old kernel installed (2.4.2-2).

cheers

It sounds as if you didn't d/l the source for the entire kernel, just a source of patch files, see if you can find the one for the entire kernel.
