Unhappy Kernel panic: no init found

I was trying to reinstall an previous version of glibc and now I'm getting panic faults at boot. I can't even boot from my emergency backup floppy I created when installing the system.
After the grub boot menu appears I select the usual (default) kernel to load. After a few seconds of booting message streaming by the process halts with the message:
Kernel panic. No init found. Try passing init= option

Is there any way to correct this problem or at least get past it so I can try to reinstall the original glibc that was running?

Matt

sounds like you are missing your initial ram disk. not really sure on how you can fix that in Redhat.
