kernel panic

Hi,

I have a CentOS 5.4 server.

It was working fine a long time and 3 days ago it started going down very often.

The hosting provider looked at the screen when it went down and here's what they saw:

I have special monitoring set up that records everything from the server each minute(processes, load, ram usage, connections) and I can see that there's no load on the server when this happens.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong with the server and why this is happening?

Please help

Thanks

Oftentimes random kernel panics are a sign of hardware beginning to go bad (and in these cases it's often the memory that is at fault). Is there any way you can have your hosting provider run some hardware diagnostic tools (I recomment memtest86+ for testing the memory) and see if anything suspicious turns up? I am running CentOS 5.4 a lot and it's quite stable so long as the hardware isn't dodgy.

Hi,

I had the datacenter replace all the hardware(except the HDDs) and it is stable now.

Thanks for your help
