kernel booting

hopefully some one can help me with this I recently low level formatted my hard drive and when I reinstalled Linux mandrake 7.2 I got an error that the kernel panicked and was un able to mount does any one know what is going on or where I might be able to download a new kernel?

Can you post your partition information? And include your lilo/grub info as well. (can be found in /etc/lilo.conf and /boot/grub/menu.lst respectively).

never mind i re formatted my hard drive and it works now!
