kernel-2.6.3 compiled with alsa but xmms alsa output dont plays

i have compile sound core and alsa sound driver directly into my kernel.
alsa driver for my spesific soundcard is also compiled directly into my kernel but, xmms dont seems to play using alsa output.
oss emulator also compiled directly into kernel but when i use oss ouput or any compatible oss output plugins for xmms i got some glitches. it will chocke a bit when i switch to applications and running heavy process.

previous kernel-2.6.2 can plays alsa output on xmms but not 2.6.3.

in kernel-2.6.2 i had alsa compiled as modules, but i need to modprobe it manually in order to play audio, thats why i compiled it directly into kernel 2.6.3.

Compile your sound card componets as modules. In modules.conf in /lib/modules is were you need to setup you card. After you recompile your kernel, make sure you do a make mrproper before you recompile, run alsaconf. This will save you sound card config probably in /etc/alsa. Find the .conf file and cut and paste the sound config into modules.conf in /lib/modules
