I'm trying to set up remote login through SSH- it works, with X forwarding and all, but it seems that the startkde or startx commands don't work.
To login to my remote machine, I use: ssh -XYC remote@192.168.1.104
I had also tried an X11 forwarding command, but I had tried that through Cygwin/X, and it hadn't worked out (and I realize now that I should have used xterm for the command)
I can start any X app through another Linux machine, but both KDE and X are already started, so they give me an error and do not launch.
Is there a way for me to remotely log in to my PCLinuxOS machine through either xdmcp or ssh?
Also, I am not too worried about security because I'm behind my router.

Of course. startx and startkde try to start X on the remote computer, which is not what you want. You already have X and a desktop environment on the local computer, so you can't get another one.
If you want a remote "desktop", you can look into VNC or NX.
