Kde Problems

Hi do anybody have any idea - I installed KDE 3.0 and found it totally useless, as many applications did not work properly, and it used to freeze a lot so I un-installed it and got back to the old KDE 2.2, but now everything is OK, except I kan no longed make any changes to the Desktop, and if I put a link on the Kicker panel, it reverts back to orginal when I log out, and I can not change anything on the desktop....

Any Ideas ?

You could go into rpmdrake and forcefully re-install all the KDE2.2 stuff from your Mandy8.1 install CDs. Should do the trick without having to fart-arse around and fiddle with loads of crap, unless you want to.

Hi Thymox, Thanks I did that, but had to be care full that I did not loose all my mozilla settings and e-mails, but it worked - How is mandrake 8.2 ?
