KDE: memory protection applet/widget?
In KDE3.x there was a Kicker applet that would protect the memory (or something like that!). I don't remember what the name was or what to look for. It had a smiley icon. Anyone know what i mean and if there's something like that for KDE4.? Or is it unnecessary?

(maybe something like Process Tamer for Windows)

I think you are referring to the Runaway Process Capture widget..?

Ah, yes, thank you. i mean the Runaway Process Catcher (Kicker applet). There something like that for Plasma? Or how can i restrict the memory usage for certain applications?

No idea, never used KDE4! I think plasma has a Task manager.
Probably a KDE mailing list would be a better place to ask the question!
