KDE fails to logout to CLi in SlackX

First things first, this is a clean install of Slackware 10. I downloaded the SlackX packages from one of the kde mirrors, and used pkgtool to install them as instructed. KDE works fine everywhere but logging out, where it just hangs (mouse doesn't move, battery icon in the top left corner).

I installed the packages exactly how the instructions said--used pkgtool to remove 3.2, and ran it again to install 3.3. It has happened twice, on two clean installs.

I'd try not to use 3.3, then ... ;)

Nuh - what is the chipset, can you still
switch to console(s) or ssh into the machine?

Cheers,
Tink

No, the computer completely locks.

Chipset? HA. Some random via chipset that averatec uses...I'll check the next time my computer starts. (Unless you happen to know off the top of your head what chipset the 3150 series of notebooks uses)
