KDE borderless app, that ALT F3 wont fix

I turned of the borders on a Houdini window (Houdini is a 3d app that uses an Open GL window to drive all of the interface) in KDE and now I cant get it back. on any other window you would hit alt F3 and you would get the menu to get the border back but I cant get the menu to pop up for Houdini. if I open another Houdini it has a border but the first Houdini window to be opened will always have no border. it is a full on program that isn't all that quick to open

the Houdini website sidefx.com

any ideas?
