KDE & Gnome make cross-duplicate desktop icons, a fix ?
I have the latest Ubuntu installed and I added the packages necessary to have KDE as an option in additon to Gnome. Well, when I make an icon for my KDE desktop, it is also there when I boot into Gnome and vice versa. So, I have duplicate icons. I used to have the Xubuntu (XFCE ubuntu) and Geubuntu (enlightenment desktop mixed with Gnome ubuntu) packages installed. That was a real trip. Gnome had all kinds of different looking and duplicated icons when I booted into it.
Know how to fix this ? Any help would be appreciated as to how to keep these desktop environments and their config files or startup routines separate.
