KDE 3.2 Screensize problem

When I configured XF86Config initially, I used a resolution of 1280x1024. I wanted to change this to 1024x768 and this is no problem, but everytime kde starts up it goes to the resolution of 1280x1024 and I have to manually change it again and again. Where are these settings being stored?

Thanks,
Albert Norman

In /etc/X11/XF86Config(-4), Section "Screen". Remove "1280x1024" from all 'Modes' lines.
