KDE 3.2 install issues/questions

Over the weekend I decided I wanted a look at some of the new KDE 3.2 applications; mainly those for Palm Pilot sync'ing and such. I wasn't really interested in switching from my existing Gnome setup.

Well, it took a while and pain and suffering, but I got KDE installed. After I rebooted I was shocked to see that my desktop manager had been switched to KDE. I guess this isn't so bad since after playing with it over the weekend I think it looks really cool. But I do have some issues and questions with the new setup:

1) So what happened to my gnome? Is it lost forever? Is there a way to get it back in the unlikely event that I no longer want to use KDE?

2) The login screen that I was using has changed and I'd like to get that back. I don't know the names of the applications so bear with me a moment. With my gnome setup, there was a screen for entering my username and after doing so it switched to a separate screen for entering my password. At the bottom of the screen were several options like Reboot, Session, and Shut Down. Session gave me the option of using Gnome, KDE, etc.

Now with KDE, I presented with a screen that has the Fedora logo on the upper right with some pretty blue flowers on a blue background. The login box has both username and password boxes plus an analog clock in the box too. There is a button to change sessions, but there isn't a selection for Gnome in there.

It's not a big deal but if I can, I'd like to get back to my original login screen.

3) How do you add applications to the main list of applications (red hat icon on the lower left)? With Gnome I could right click anywhere on the menu and could get a screen to add apps. Although 90% of my apps I was using in Gnome appear in the KDE menus, there are a few that don't.

That's all I have for now. Thanks for reading my rant...

1) If one day you wanna change back to gnome all you have to do is
$ switchdesk-gnome
After that, restart X and you will be in the gnome DE.

2) The Red Hat/Fedora version of KDE is crippled and modified to have a modified look with gnome, I'm running a stock KDE on my Libranet bow and a stock KDE from kde-redhat on my RH9 bow at work so I don't know the answer to this one, sorry.

3) Right-click on the "red hat", select menu editor.
There it is:
File/New item
File/New submenu
When you select an item, the details are displayed in the right pane of the window, you can modify them at will too.

Thanks for the reply,

1) ...and what if I want to switch back to KDE? Would that be:
$switchdesk-kde ?

2) Thanks, not a big deal though...

3) Also, thanks. I see it now and I was able to make my own menu entry.
