KDE 3.0 Problems ?

I have just installed KDE 3.0 , and now efax is not working at all - It does not auto answer any more, even everything is as before, nothing has changed only KDE 2.2 to KDE 3.0 - yu can manual send fax from the consol but not from KDEprintfax , what I don't understand is what connection KDE 3.0 has with the auro receive function in efax ?
s1:345:respawn:/bin/sh /usr/bin/fax answer - that is the entry in inittab. which look correct to me, if you click in /usr/bin/fax it graps the line and sends the fax tone, so that works..
any ideas ?
