KDE 2.2.2 upgrade
I am running Red Hat 7.2 and I need help upgrading KDE to version 2.2.2.
There are 45 RPM files that I downloaded. But I don't know if there is any special instructions. Do I have to "rpm -Uvh"? Is there a specific order required? Anything else I need to know, or do I just rpm -Uvh all 45 of them? |

That is the install link, locate the RPM area. Pretty vague but you should be ok just doing the rpm -Uvh though. Just start with the base and go from there. Read the whole Installation page though, it has some Red Hat specific errors and sorts. |
First thing I try:
Code:
rpm -Uvh kdebase-2.2.2-1.i386.rpm Code:
error: failed dependencies: |
Great, I logged out and logged back in and my KDE is corrupted. The whole screen is garbled. I thought you said I could just do an rpm -Uvh? That's all I did, and now this! Would someone please help? Thanks.
I just rebooted and my KDE desktop is no longer garbled. That was scary. |
