Jvm Help!


Ok I installed JVM but looks like I didnt something wrong my plugins was installed at /usr/java/j2re1.4.2_04/plugin/i386 instead of my mozilla /usr/lib/mozilla-1.2.1/plugins....How do I move them to that fodler everything I try says I dont have permission....

That's not wrong, that's where it's supposed to be installed If you want to move (or copy them, which is what I would do) you will have to be root.

hang on, if you're trying to install the plugin you need to create soft links from your mozilla plugins directory to the actual plugin. To do this, change to your mozilla plugins dir, and do (something like, depending on your path and the version of the plugin you want to install):

ln -s /usr/java/j2re1.4.2_04/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so

To check if it was successful, restart mozilla and type 'aboutlugin' in the address bar
