just installed slackware 9.0, but where is man??

He guy's. I just installed slackware 9.0 last night. I wanted to change my lilo configuration so I did "man lilo.conf". I got "-bash: man: command not found" .
What the ..... ! How is that posible? Aperantly man in not installed by default. To see if man was there, but just not in my path I did "locate man". It seemed all the man pages were installed, but I couldn't find the binary anyware.
Now I know this is no biggie. I can install man manually. But isn't this strange to say the least?

That is weird. I just did a "locate man | less" and found the following in Slack 8.1:

/var/log/packages/man-1.5j-i386-1
/var/log/packages/man-pages-1.48-noarch-1

All the packages installed (in .tgz format) should be located in /var/log/packages so that would be the first place I would look. I would double check your CD to make sure that you got a good CD with md5sum. Also, you might want to try it as root, sometimes it makes a difference though I'm just grasping at straws here. I hope this helps.:D

Thanks for your replie. I will look at that place as soon as I can. I did try doing "man" as root, but no luck there. It seems strange that the downloaded iso image is currupted exactally so that man coulden't be installed. Every thing else seems fine.
I think I'l go the easey way and install man my self.
