jobs command

i type jobs, with options (usually -l) & i get nothing - no errors, no listings. i did a search & found no 'jobs command'; yet there are jobs man pages. i'm running redhat enterprise 4. does anyone else know anything about a change to Linux pertaining to jobs?

thanks.

I believe the jobs command is a part of the Bash shell and not a separate executable.

jobs is part of bash..

man bash

/jobs <-to search within the man page, press n for next search term.. etc..
